You are expected to have the following qualities:

- ・Experience as a judge in the intellectual property division
- ・Experience working as an in-house lawyer
- ・Work experience in a company with strong patent experience
- ・Knowledge of physics and chemistry
- ・English reading, writing and speaking skills
- - Have a strong interest in legal services in the above fields
- ・English reading and writing
- - At least two years of work experience as a lawyer or a member of the workforce. If your experience is less than this, you must have a strong interest in the above fields to make up for the shortfall.
- ・Work experience related to each business field (regardless of employment type)
- ・English conversation skills
- ・Experience in handling contracts and disputes related to intellectual property rights such as copyrights, trademarks, and patents, and the Unfair Competition Prevention Act
- You will be primarily responsible for the cases of lawyers affiliated with our firm.
- ・For about two years after joining the firm, we would like you to come out of the firm as much as possible and work in the office, as we would like to directly discuss and exchange opinions on industry customs and frequently occurring legal theories related to each industry. If you have family circumstances, poor health, or other reasons for training, we can flexibly accept temporary remote work. After gaining experience, you will be able to flexibly switch between remote and in-person work.
- ・For cases that you are asked to handle by other lawyers in the office, you will be paid on a commission basis according to the hours worked. The estimated hours worked are about 1 to 60 hours per month, but this will vary depending on the circumstances of each lawyer and the situation of the case.
- ・Currently, work spaces have fixed seats, but we plan to switch to a free address system in the future.
- ・We provide a full range of reference materials and business support services.
- ・You will need to prepare your own computer (some assistance will be provided by the office), but a monitor will be provided by the office.
- ・You are free to take on your own personal cases in addition to the cases handled by the firm, as long as there are no conflicts. For personal cases, you will be required to pay 30% of the fee as firm expenses.
- -Of course, you can also consult with other members and ask for their opinions on how to proceed with your personal case and its prospects.
- - It is possible to request the secretariat to handle administrative work for personal cases (assistance with preparing documents, preparing and sending invoices, etc.), and it is also possible to use office facilities such as conference rooms for personal cases.
- *The amount calculated by multiplying the working hours by the unit price of each lawyer and a fixed rate will be paid. The unit price of each lawyer will be determined based on the term and experience, etc. The unit price will be reviewed annually.
- *If the working hours are between 60 and 100 hours, the expected pay will be in the range of approximately 50 to 100 yen per month depending on years of experience.
In this recruitment, we are mainly looking for multiple people who are interested in ① patent projects and ② creative projects.
1. People interested in patent cases
You will be involved in various intellectual property rights-related cases, mainly patent disputes and patent litigation.
[Required conditions]
At least two years of experience as a patent attorney in patent disputes and litigation. If you have less experience, your lack of experience must be compensated by a strong interest in patent matters.
