The leakage of trade secrets can lead to the resignation of the CEO, and the influx of trade secrets can lead to the suspension of sales of products and services. Therefore, trade secrets are not something that management and CLOs can ignore.
Based on my direct involvement in the revision of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act and the Guidelines for the Management of Trade Secrets, I will organize the fundamental knowledge of trade secrets, explain initial responses in the event of leakage or intrusion, cooperation with the police, and the systems that should be in place at all times, clarifying the actions that management and CLOs should take.
